Introducing Thrive, our new series of support programmes for companies raising on Crowdcube, where we partner with leading VCs and top tier law and accounting firms to help companies thrive.


An initiative for financial inclusion businesses to secure lead investment, and an exclusive legal and accounting service package to utilise after a crowdfunding raise with Crowdcube.

Venture Capital firm Green Shores Capital have allocated a £500,000 fund to support Thrive for Fintech for pre-Series A and Series A FinTech businesses with a focus on accelerating financial inclusion.

The initiative

Green Shores Capital will invest up to £500,000 (in total) in up top three companies, who will also gain access to Green Shores Capital’s global network and advisory panel. All applications will be subject to Green Shore Capital’s due diligence.

The successful applicants will also receive a legal support package to cover areas such as company structure, employment and incentives, data and IP, as well as receiving exclusive access to an online platform with a host of free legal resources. All finalists will also be invited along to a legal workshop that is specifically tailored to fintech businesses.

Lastly, the successful applicants will also receive an accounting support package from Deloitte finance experts, covering areas such as raising investment and financial strategy. Along with a free, bespoke online accounting package and customised analytics dashboard.

Thrive for Fintech: Criteria

  • Financial inclusion companies (companies that make financial services more accessible)
  • UK Limited Company
  • Post-revenue UK limited businesses
  • Aiming to close investment on Crowdcube prior to March 31st 2019
  • Pitch deck submission and screening call with Green Shores Capital

Important dates

Applications close on January 11th, and finalists announced on January 17th, 2019.

An investor pitching event, which gives shortlisted applicants the opportunity to pitch to potential investors, will be held on the 24th of January, where the successful applicants will also be announced.
