You're making a real difference by backing a business you believe in.
You're supporting the next generation of businesses so they can not only survive, but thrive so that, ultimately, they can go on to leave their mark on the world.
And for that - we salute you!
The ones whose ambition, courage, and determination to leave a mark on the world, big or small, inspires us all.
At Crowdcube, we're on a mission to create a world that's jam-packed with these exciting businesses doing wonderful things, fuelled by their passionate communities. So far, we've helped over 960 businesses, through 1,200 funded raises, turn their supporters into shareholders and fuel their future at our humble home.
Even if the enthusiasm, bravery and ideas of entrepreneurs don’t always work out, we’re proud that people have had the chance to get over £50m back from their investments.
There are two key, and very generous, tax breaks to look out for when it comes to investing on Crowdcube. Both of which can be carried back to the previous tax year.
Seed Enterprise Investment Scheme (SEIS)
Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS)
Investors can invest up to £1,000,000 in any tax year and receive 30% tax relief on their investment.
Look out for the EIS and SEIS tags eligible investment opportunities.
*The availability of any tax relief, including SEIS and EIS, depends on the individual circumstances of each investor and the company concerned and therefore may be subject to change in the future.
Investing in start-ups and early stage businesses involves risks, including illiquidity, lack of dividends, loss of investment and dilution, and it should be done only as part of a diversified portfolio. Crowdcube is targeted exclusively at investors who are sufficiently sophisticated to understand these risks and make their own investment decisions. You will only be able to invest via Crowdcube once you are registered as sufficiently sophisticated. Please click here to read the full Risk Warning.
