We're introducing email verification for all Crowdcube accounts

We will soon be asking all our members to verify the email address associated with their Crowdcube account.

We're doing this for a couple of reasons:

  • verifying email addresses significantly improves security
  • we can be sure that you won't miss out on the important information that we send via email.

We'll make sure verifying your email address is super quick and easy to do so that it doesn't interrupt your Crowdcube journey too much.

New users will be asked to verify their email address when joining Crowdcube and will need to complete that verification before they can invest or engage with pitch discussions.

If you're an existing member, you'll be able to carry on using the site as before, but we'll prompt you to verify your email address as soon as you can.

After a period of about four weeks, we'll make it mandatory to verify your email address before investing and engaging with pitch discussions.  

For our apps, it'll take slightly longer to introduce email verification, but over the next few weeks or months, it'll be necessary to have a verified email address to use them too.

If you're worried that your Crowdcube account isn't connected to your current email address, don't worry - you can go to the settings page of your Crowdcube profile, check your email address and update it there if necessary.
