This week marks a very special milestone for us here at Crowdcube. We’re absolutely thrilled to announce that we have reached our 1,000th raise! Andersen EV has successfully hit its target of £300,000 and is now overfunding by 125%, crowning this our 1,000th funded campaign.
Andersen EV specialises in powerful, customisable charging points, allowing customers to charge electric vehicles from the comfort of their own homes. The Cleantech is one of our Funded Club veterans, having previously raised £726k thanks to over 800 investors in 2018. We’re delighted to see them return to further accelerate their growth with the help of their community of brand heroes.
Since launching in 2011, we’ve had 816 wonderful businesses raise £580m with us, thanks to a total of 451k investors. We’re so pleased to have played a part in accelerating the fantastic work being done by these companies and their founding teams. The mark being left on the world by our Funded Club entrepreneurs continues to grow; from green initiatives by Cleantechs like Andersen EV and Witt Energy to game-changing Fintechs like Monzo and Chip, the innovations just keep on coming.
Our Funded Club now also includes three unicorns, BrewDog, Monzo and Revolut, meaning we’ve helped fuel the growth of 19% of the UK’s active unicorns. These three powerhouses continue to grow at an astronomical rate, with craft beer crusaders BrewDog now exporting to over 60 markets. Monzo and Revolut have seen their communities supersize too, with 3m and 7m customers apiece.
We’ve seen 212 members of our Funded Club come back for follow-on rounds, as Andersen EV has. This is a trend we’ve watched grow in recent years, as businesses return for larger, later-stage rounds such as Freetrade and Chip’s raises this year.
