Wegow is a social live music marketplace where users, artists, promoters and brands interact in a completely new way to gain exposure to live music. Its GMV grew from €0.4m in 2016 to €4m in 2017. It seeks investment to scale up the platform to new markets and consolidate its position in Spain.
Wegow offers a scalable solution to build long-lasting relationships between users, artists, promoters and brands.
Users won't miss another gig thanks to our in-house algorithm – not only giving them access to tickets but also socialising in Wegow’s community. Artists can target their audience better and sell more tickets with our WegowPro tool. Promoters can plan gigs more effectively, expand their business reach and promote concerts reducing the demand risk. Finally, brands have a unique opportunity to engage and impact users in an immersive environment where their content adds value to the users’ experience.
Wegow was founded in mid-2013 in Bilbao, Spain. In December 2016 it acquired the concert aggregator 5gig to expand international content. During 2017, both companies have been successfully merged into a single Wegow platform, which means that it is now available in 19 countries.
GMV grew from €0.4m to €4m in 2017, it received 1.1m monthly visits in Dec-17 (vs 0.7m in Dec-16) and has more than 78k followers across all social media channels.
Wegow has been featured in Vanity Fair as one of the top 10 Spanish startups to keep track of and in GQ as one of the best apps in order not miss a gig or festival. Wegow has also received the prize for the Best Entrepreneurial Project of the Year by the Spanish Association of SMEs (CEPYME).
