After sell-out pop-ups/food markets prior to a successful 2014 Crowdcube raise, The Good Egg now serve over 1000 customers a week in their N16 restaurant and are raising again to bring their all-day neighbourhood Montreal-deli-meets-Israeli street-food offer to a second, larger restaurant in Soho.
We serve up colourful Jewish deli and Israeli-inspired brunches, bagels, pitas and small plates, with a dinner menu designed to get guests sharing, all alongside a drinks menu of classic American cocktails, craft beers and natural wines. We carefully source ingredients from sustainable producers whose ethos is in line with our own.
From serving our brunch favourite Shakshuka (voted London’s best in 2014) at sell out markets, pop-ups and residencies all over London, we felt that London was crying out for an all-day neighbourhood Montreal-deli-meets-Israeli street-food offer.
We’ve cooked for the Prime Minister at No. 10, catered weekly for Twitter’s London HQ, and crowdfunded on Crowdcube to finance the fit-out of our first restaurant, a beautiful 35-seater N16 neighbourhood restaurant in Nov 2015, with a plan to open 2 more within 5 years.
We’ve now secured a 100+ seater site in the West End to feature a bakery and retail area that serves Israeli-inspired baked goods and extended brunch and dinner menus for eat-in, takeaway and delivery.
We’ve served an average of 1,200 customers a week, been reviewed by respected food critics in publications such as the Evening Standard, The Times, The Independent, The Guardian, Bloomberg and Londonist, and built an Insta following of 16.3k.
“The menu reads like a bawdy love letter that hopes to get my knickers off” - Grace Dent, Evening Standard.
