The Ethical Butcher is a premium, sustainable and ethical online butcher, on a mission to spearhead the craft meat revolution. It has now served 10,500 orders to 5,000 customers, received multiple awards and has been featured on national media outlets.
We believe that the meat industry is changing. For too long, provenance has been murky. We set out to challenge this and show our customers our supply chain with nothing to hide. We partner with exceptional farmers who practice regenerative agriculture to improve biodiversity and restore soil health. We ensure the meat we buy is 100% pasture-fed and free from hormones and antibiotics. We believe that our work will positively impact the British countryside whilst also protecting our climate through carbon sequestration, which is a natural process of removing harmful greenhouse gasses from the atmosphere by locking them into the ground.
We supply premium quality meat to the restaurant industry throughout London, Pre-covid we served 2000 orders, our larger customers buy from us on an average annual order value of over £200k. In 2020 the company generated £789k in revenue and -£141k profit.
With the backing of the crowd in 2019, we launched our B2C brand in February 2020
