Over the past year, The Ethical Butcher have supplied London’s restaurant & catering trade with ethically sourced meat. They are seeking investment to supply households across the UK, via home delivery, with quality meat from ethically raised certified PFLA 100% grass-fed stock.
Since its inception in 2014, Ethical Butcher has won a number of Great Taste Awards including Top 50 Foods in UK & Ireland. With 200 monthly orders from our restaurant clients with an average price of nearly £350 per invoice in 2017, over the past 2 years, we have earned a revenue of almost £1,400,000 with an operating profit of £98,000.
However, through this journey, we discovered that more and more consumers now demand to know the origin of their food. Many people are becoming aware of the health benefits of eating meat from grass-fed stock rather than grain fed, the latter being more typical.
We aim to add to existing revenue streams by providing high-quality meat, cut to order, to households across the country by next day delivery. Via our B2C offering, we intend to raise the bar so that consumers know that the meat they buy from us is from 100% grass-fed stock and prepared by artisan professional butchers.
We already provide a wholesale service to London restaurants and plan to extend this B2B offering by supplying premium meat to gourmet burger bars. Furthermore, we are on track to grow our supply into London’s iconic Smithfield Meat Market when we have the necessary stock in place. Later we plan to add Himalayan Salt Dry Aged Beef to our range.
