Stroodles are the Pasta Straws (as seen on Unilad, Dragons Den, BBC Good Food) that say "Pasta La Vista” to plastic & soggy paper straws. With 350,000+ Stroodles sold, the Movement shows how easy it is to do good - one Stroodle at a time. They aim to become THE straw alternative in a $4.5bn market.
With the UK plastic straw set to be banned in April 2020 and the EU in 2021, Stroodles pasta straws seek to solve the global plastic and soggy paper straw problem, in a $4.5bn global market.
Our straws last for over 1h in cold drinks, are flavourless, 100% biodegradable, edible, vegan, zero-waste and are engaging and fun, whilst not requiring behavior changes or compromises in drinking experience.
Stroodles is not just a straw company - Stroodles is a movement! We want to show how easy it is to do good and be a vehicle for change, enabling and subtly inspiring the questioning of consumption decisions. Stroodles that don't meet high-quality production expectations are donated to food banks, and a sales share goes to plastic-fighting charities.
Since launching in December 2018, we have been recognized by media as one of the first movers. We have built a strong global brand via viral, global coverage across Unilad, BBC Good Food, Huffington Post and Dragons Den (TV) and marketing collaborations, such as Pago & Mount Gay.
We have sold over 350k Stroodles & generated EU-traction across retail and B2B customers, which have incl. Ibis and Marriott. Alongside online and direct sales, we have UK and Austrian stockists.
With operational leverage and new future product opportunities, we are seeking funds to scale sales and marketing to ultimately become the market leader in alternative straws.
