Sknhead is a range of male grooming products from male celebrity hairdresser, Adee Phelan. Sknhead is sold professionally in 10 international markets and planning to launch to consumer markets through online retailers. Aiming to reach bricks and mortar retailers later in 2021.
We believe that there’s a lack of innovation in male grooming. Shop shelves are full of the same products that have been around for lifetimes. We feel that very few of these are actually tailored to the needs of men.
Sknhead offers a range of 9 hair care products to the growing ($66bn global) male grooming market. As far as we know, our hero product, Gamechanger is the only product for hair, skin and tattoo care. Launched in May 2018, Sknhead has sold over 20,000 units to trade in the UK and 10 international markets, with Adee continually crafting, grafting and innovating the range.
In 2020 when the UK was in lockdown Adee started the NHS Gifts For Heroes Campaign. 47 hospitals nationwide received over £1m worth of donated hair care products in over 10,000 gift boxes. Once restrictions relaxed Adee set up popup salons in 4 major cities.
By building on existing trade relationships; the PR of NHS Heroes Campaign, riding what we believe will be a trend for fewer, more premium products; focussing on retail outlets; and maximising our connections for celebrity endorsements, we intend to launch into retail in 2021. 50% of this raise will go solely on marketing, with the remainder split across sales, product development and operations.
