Aiming to be the UK's No.1 premium savoury snack business, Serious Pig is backed by BrewDog co-founder James Watt. The company is successfully breaking into mainstream retail, with 800 Tesco stores.
Serious Pig is a business born in a pub, inspired by the idea to match the quality of snacks with the quality of craft beers. We’ve now grown to a point where we’re serious about becoming the biggest premium savoury snack brand in the UK.
It’s been an exhilarating journey, with demand for our award-winning products increasing year on year. From pubs such as Heston’s Hinds Head in Bray, we soon began to hear from food halls such as Fortnum & Mason and farm shops, delis and hotels. Over time we began to supply groups such as BrewDog and retailers including Whole Foods, the Co-op and most recently 800 Tesco stores.
Our award-winning Snacking Salami, Snackingham and Snackling (roasted crackling) are produced using only outdoor bred British pork. Nuts are oven roasted and seasoned with Cornish Sea Salt and our Crunchy Snacking Cheese is made with 11 month matured Italian cheese.
We believe we’ve only scratched the surface of what’s possible for Serious Pig. The UK snack market is valued at £18bn and continuing to grow so there’s a big slice for us to take. In parallel, the UK craft beer sector is growing (47% up over 12 months to June ‘18), and as that grows, so does the number of outlets where Serious Pig is well suited.
We believe we’re now match fit for growth and new investment will allow us to accelerate our plans, taking advantage of opportunities we’ve already made for ourselves.
