Rupert and Buckley is a socially led clothing label set up in 2011 by founder James Buckley-Thorp whilst studying Law at the University of Kent. In 2017, the brand was relaunched by new CEO Alexander Newman, having restructured and redeveloped the brand's target market and product offering through key factory collaborations and multiple brand awareness campaigns. In just 14 months, the brand has invested in a new distribution centre in the South West, opened 3 new stand-alone retail stores in Bath, Durham, and Chester in late 2017 and is available is over 150 stores in the UK and Ireland.
We were also awarded the honour of becoming the Leisurewear partner of 'The Boat Race' with a viewership annually of over 6m globally and have accrued 80k+ social followers. The focus of the business from here will be further strategic national collaborations similar to The Boat Race, to develop partnerships with national retailers, and to execute an organic entrance into the US market.
In the UK, we are now in the position where we have received contact from a larger format retail chain and are pursuing larger retail partners such as ASOS and JLP.
