Due to ever-increasing demand, we’ve grown from a market stall in July 2011 to 2 parlours, a vintage van, tricyle and trolley, to a go-to bespoke ice cream designer for corporates, and even publishing a recipe book for our fans.
We’ve created a gin ice cream & sorbet range for Gin Mare, Jaffa Cake ice cream for McVities, and ice creams with 17th-century flavours for a Kensington Palace garden party. We’ve even made ice cream for Jacobs, with flavours like blue cheese & cream crackers, and tomato & basil. Our turnover for y/e March 2019 was £387k (-£209k Loss).
Increased demand has made our small kitchen unable to meet the range and size of orders. By upgrading our equipment and workspace, we’ll be able to meet existing & future demand, and keep innovating!
We’ll also be able to fund branded freezers, pop-up events, residencies and a branded delivery van. Ice cream sells well in the winter via wholesale and takeaway tubs, so a new potting machine will let us fill 400 pots p/hour, up from 50 currently.
