Rubicon Capital provides a high quality finance service to Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) house builders in the U.K. We source capital for real estate development projects for house builders who are unable to access this directly with institutional lenders.
Access to finance for projects and SME businesses has been substantially reduced since 2008 leading to a major restriction on delivery of greatly needed housing stock to the U.K. market. Rubicon Capital aims to reduce the funding blockage and enable established SME businesses grow and deliver.
Our revenue streams are in two main forms: upfront fees for placing the parties together and longer term consultancy & performance fees.
The funds raised will be used to build our team and infrastructure to enable us to work on more projects and with more sources of investment.
Traction & Growth
The alternative funding market for SME housebuilders remains limited albeit stable. Small and Medium size builders are 72% fewer than before 2008* (Savills - October 2018) and this is, in part, responsible for today's housing crisis.
To date, Rubicon Capital has arranged in excess of £75m of finance and has been profitable since we started in 2015. The market requirement for finance in this market is forecast to be £208bn over the next 10 years.
