We see that consumers are busier than ever and car ownership is getting harder. Regit simplifies ownership by alerting drivers when things like their MOT or tax are due through their digital garage. Its marketplace also connects them with vetted providers, saving time and money.
Meanwhile, manufacturers and dealers work with disparate data and processes, focusing on sales rather than ongoing relationships. Regit provides dealers, manufacturers & their agencies with access to a community of 1.4m car owners through its different trade products. We want to be the glue piecing together this fragmented market.
The UK automotive industry is worth £78bn a year, with £21bn spent on aftersales services alone. 2.5m new cars are registered, and 7.5m change hands every year. We see a huge opportunity to leverage our user data and insights to address this market.
Regit started life in 2008 as Motoring.co.uk, a new & used car portal. In 2014, we launched MyMotoring, a servicing & MOT hub. This was the basis of the digital garage you see today. In 2017, the car registration element of each was brought to the fore in a rebrand to Regit under the guidance of Sir John Hegarty (the man behind Audi's "Vorsprung Durch Technik").
Regit wants to grow its user base to over 6 million UK drivers. The business has shareholders and commercial loans.
