Parent Hub is a school communication app. It aims to become the go-to parent messaging and payments tool for the $252bn+ global edtech market and is scaling on the back of a deal with RM Education. The business is fundraising to expand into the £5bn+ UK market for online school payments.
The global edtech market is set to be worth $252bn+, growing at 17% p.a.
But, whilst tech has transformed the way children learn, the systems schools use for updating parents haven't always kept pace; some schools still use text services with character restrictions or rely on sending paper copies.
As teachers, we were frustrated that messages home were often limited to school info only, rather than focusing on the benefits of sharing classroom learning. And without multiple logins to online systems, it can be difficult for parents to see their child’s progress across the different learning tools used in lessons.
So, we set about changing things, aiming to disrupt the market in the same way Slack has changed business messaging.
We aim to make it easy for teachers to send home updates about learning and plan to become an integration hub for other edtech services to bring the insight parents need into one spot.
Dec '16, we landed a deal with edtech giant RM Education and are now scaling, with 350+ schools signed up in 20 months. We're posting over a million messages a month, with sending activity up 1,436% on last year.
The basic Parent Hub service is free, 65% of active schools are opting for premium add-ons. Our app is used by 50,000+ parents, and we've more integrations planned.
