However, with the rise of 'swipe fatigue' and the initial excitement of dating apps waning, people are looking for a more genuine way to make connections. My Friend Charlie have identified a gap in the market for singles wanting to meet people in real life.

In the past 18 months, the business has gained significant traction - we have an engaged database of over 2000 users and have held over 50 events in London alone, which have attracted 700+ attendees. The MFC model has proven that demand exists for offline events for an online generation.
With investment, My Friend Charlie aim to expand their presence into four additional UK cities, grow their partner network, and raise the brand’s profile through marketing activities. We are developing a custom events management system to enable multiple revenue streams, which will include a recurring revenue model from premium subscriptions. Development is also underway on a user-facing native app for both iOS and Android. Being a tech-enabled business will support the brand to grow quickly and efficiently from a strong foundation.
