The first minutes of a motorcycle theft are crucial. Monimoto’s wireless device detects unauthorised control of a vehicle and alerts the owner with live GPS coordinates. Backed by Iron Wolf Capital, the company has generated €1.8M revenue since 2017 and is growing profitably.
Theft is too common. In the UK, 27,000 motorcycles are stolen each year and 45,000 in the US. The 35M registered motorcycles in the EU & US need protection, as well as many more mobile assets.
But theft insurance premiums are costly, wired alarm systems are equally expensive, and standard GPS trackers can drain vehicle battery and could be easily removed by thieves.
Monimoto’s mission is for owners to enjoy their ride while we take care of security.
We’ve made installing Monimoto as easy as pairing headphones: we supply a wireless GPS tracker that is concealed in the vehicle’s glovebox and syncs to our mobile app. Within 1 minute of unauthorised control, the owner receives a phone call and GPS coordinates, enabling an immediate response.
Since launch in 2017 we’ve amassed 1M+ Youtube views and had numerous blogs reviewing our product. We’re rated 4.5* on Amazon and this year we won a €340K EU grant to continue pioneering. After generating €634K revenue (-€65k P&L) in 2019 we've grown revenue to €890K (+€101K EBITDA) Jan to Aug 2020*.
Dozens of motorcycles have been returned to rightful owners because of Monimoto.
At €169 RRP and a €3 monthly sim fee, Monimoto is cost-effective. We work with distributors and resellers in 14 countries and sell directly to consumers via our website and Amazon.
We want to lead the market with accessible anti-theft technology.
