AI-based assistive tech solution that uses tiny wireless sensors and wearable devices to create situational awareness and understand the health of its user. miicare gives elderly people the choice to live longer in their own homes – where their memories are, and where they feel safe and comfortable.
With our rapidly ageing population, the need for care home places is set to almost double by 2035 requiring an increase in the social care workforce.
However, of the UK’s 12.7m elderly people, only 3% would choose to live in a care home. But with their health at risk, it may seem like the only option.
miicare aims to solve both challenges, using wireless sensors, wearable devices, & telehealth equipment to help the elderly live in their homes independently.
We spent over a year developing & ‘training’ miiCUBE to identify incidents & detect changes that signal an accident or decline in health. Our wearable smart telehealth devices also allow body vitals to be monitored & trends established.
Wireless sensors around the home let miiCUBE monitor general activities to create situational awareness. miiCUBE also monitors the use of potentially dangerous appliances such as ovens, to keep the user safe.
If an anomaly is detected, a call will be triggered to family, a carer, or a 24/7 telecare operations centre manned by professionals. All data is securely encrypted using blockchain technology & stored in an ISO27000-accredited cloud solution.
We believe miiCare is the perfect solution for giving peace of mind to family, supporting care providers, de-risking provision for insurers, & securing independence, freedom & good quality of life for elderly people
