Voted #1 in Hertfordshire, recently installed a state of the art brewery and have shown a +180% growth in 3 years. We operate five Mad Squirrel Craft Beer outlets in commuter belt towns with MAT revenues up +45%. We seek further growth in 2018 by opening 2 new outlets, with plans for 3 more by 2020.
Mad Squirrel was created to focus on beer innovation, drinkability and ultimately a super-premium beer experience, that resonates with a wide spectrum of consumers; brands such as $UMO American Pale Ale and Flying Squirrel Pilsner have created a cult following within the commuter belt. At Craft Beer Rising 2018, our brands such as De la Nut Ascension, and Roadkill received plaudits from prominent bloggers such as Chris Martin (Alcohol by Volume) and Ed Holton (Justaswiftone). Our Untappd rating on brands such as Ascension, Roadkill and De La Nut are close to achieving 4-point average, these ratings are one key method for assessing our quality and evolvement as a brewery and brand.
Our taprooms have built up a positive reputation for great beer and education, this has created cordial relationships with the authorities.
Our strategy of opening more wet- led Mad Squirrel Tap rooms is focussed on current consumer trends for great beer and value for money; market insights show food biased outlets are experiencing a decline in revenues, compared with wet-led outlets showing a renaissance (source: Times Business section MCA: 04/03/18).
