Lister’s unashamedly brews beers for the mass market. With 750,000 pints sold, they don't just satisfy the beer drinkers that prefer a style of beer they can return to time and again - they're turning their spent barley into dog treats for the £2.9 billion pet food industry.
Named after our fondly remembered rescue dog, Lister's has become known as the "doggy" beer, particularly with the Tail Wagger brand. Turning our spent barley into dog treats, we entered the £2.9 billion pound pet food market launching them in all 144 stores of Pet's Corner the UK's second largest pet shop chain as well as other pet food wholesalers.
After overfunding during lockdown number one, Lister's Brewery has moved onto the Angmering Park Estate, expanded beer distribution capabilities with its hub model & created Tailwagger Gin.
Lister's products and brand spans both the beer and pet food industries putting what would usually be an unused product back into the food chain. Our aim is to become as sustainable as possible.
Having previously donated over £10,000 to Battersea Dogs & Cats Home we formed Lister's Dog Foundation to donate to some of the UK's smaller rescue centres.
We want to continue our plan to take the Lister's brand across the country, making it a household name, so we're crowdfunding aiming to:
• Expand sales team and distribution
• Increase capacity at the brewery
• Have our first 32 tonne silo of barley from the estate malted to brew with
• Develop more pet treat products and pet food
• Help develop anaerobic digestion technology to turn spent yeast and brewery by-products into biogas to power the brewery
