After successfully developing third-party brands for 10 years, we decided to leverage our knowledge and develop our own portfolio of premium drinks.
We currently ship to 30 countries in Europe, the Americas and Asia and our products are in both local and international retailers.
In 2017 sales were €1.1M and generated a gross margin of €522k, a 33% CAGR between 2015 and 2017. Our brands have experienced a rapid growth since 2014 when revenue was at €473k. The market has recognised the quality of our gins which have won medals in international competitions. We also are finding a good market fit for the healthy mixers we have developed like Ledger’s Tonic using stevia. For 2018 consolidation and digital marketing are key goals.
Our market is growing too. In December 2017, only in the UK, alcohol sales in supermarkets were up by nearly £172 million, compared to the same time last year and gin sales were up by 26%.
According to The Drinks Business and Kantar World Panel, the UK’s thirst for gin has resulted in record tonic water sales, rising 35% vs same period the previous year. Transparency Market Research projects the global tonic water market to pull in revenue of $2.45 billion by 2025 and a sustained growth of 6.1% for the period 2017-2025.
‘Premiumisation’ is a fact. Consumers are seeking “quality over quantity” according to IWSR.
