Koolskools is an award-winning ethical clothing company, on a mission to show that you can grow a clothing business whilst prioritising ethics and sustainability. Recent clothing contract awards by the National Union of Students give us a chance to scale up our business quickly.
Koolkompany Ltd, t/a Koolskools, manufactures and supplies Fairtrade uniforms UK-wide. All our own-branded garments are made in a fully certified Fairtrade/GRS-certified recycled polyester ethical supply chain.
In March ‘19 we won our first major contract with the National Union of Students (NUS), whose clothing business is worth approx. £2 million per year.
As part of its push for more sustainable clothing sourcing the NUS is running two parallel bi-annual clothing tenders for 2019 to 2021. We have been awarded contracts under both the Fairtrade and non-Fairtrade tenders for our new brand of “Sustainable” Fairtrade clothing and ECO sportswear respectively.
Our growing UK and international reputation sparked a recent strategic investment by Canada’s Fairtrade banana company, Equifruit.
We also deliver education on ethical trading to our client schools, recognised and lauded by the Fairtrade Foundation.
North Link Ferries is a long-standing corporate client. Porsche Club GB is our latest business customer.
So Koolskools challenges the traditional school and corporate clothing industry, which as of 2015 was worth approximately £1.45 billion. We are passionate about scaling up our business without compromising our internationally recognised ethics and sustainability credentials. We can now do this more rapidly under the NUS contract.
