Kidsorted has created a custom tech solution built specifically for the £19 billion kids' activities industry. The platform connects families seeking enriching and educational activities and experiences with top-tier providers. In the past 12 months, Kidsorted has processed >£500k in transactions.
The UK market for kids' activities and services is £19 billion, but the sector remains highly fragmented. Millennial parents are accustomed to doing their shopping on Amazon and Ocado and booking everything from gym classes to taxis to travel on their phones. But when they become parents, they tend to revert to the pre-internet age. They often find activities on library billboards, register with paper forms, and pay by bank transfer or even cheque.
Kidsorted launched in 2014 to address this pain point and bring the sector into the 21st century. After pivoting and bringing on a new team, our growth has accelerated rapidly over the past 12 months, during which we've grown our registered users by 200% and processed over £500k in transaction volume. We've also received some important external validation, winning first prize in the startup competition at NOAH Berlin in June, an important industry conference.
We are also a growth enabler for businesses; in addition to taking bookings through our marketplace, our suppliers can use our booking software as a widget on their own site to handle their bookings and admin. We take admin off the hands of our suppliers so they can focus on what they love - whether that's teaching music or coaching football.
