The UK’s 2nd largest craft brewer and Scotland’s most awarded with a 2015 turnover of £12.5m and exporting to 25+ countries. Innis & Gunn want to push the boundaries, tear up the rule book, and change the beer industry to create a world where everyone has access to better, more exciting beer.
We want to create a world where everyone has access to better, more exciting beer, and everyone feels that good beer is for them.
Our why isn’t just about our beer, it’s about the people that drink it. We exist to see their curiosity rewarded – to see them become champions of better, more flavorsome beer. And importantly, we believe it’s a world for ‘everyone.’ As the craft beer scene becomes more and more exclusive, Innis & Gunn remains steadfast in its inclusive nature. We aren’t about catering for the beer crowd; we’re interested in expanding it. We have over 250k followers across social media today, and we want that community to continue to grow.
We are the second largest craft brewer in the UK, and we have heaps of awards both for the quality of our beer and our business. Our brand has international appeal: in 2015 almost 70% of our turnover came from overseas markets and we have won two Queen’s Awards for International Trade.
Last year we opened our first bar-restaurant, The Beer Kitchen in Edinburgh, and within 6 months had won the Best New Concept Award in casual dining against UK-wide competition.
We began brewing in 2003, and with one exception we have made profit every year since. Last year our turnover, excluding duty, was almost £12.5m and we plan to grow turnover to £22m in 2017, an increase of 78% from 2015, and open 4 new Beer Kitchens within the next 12 months.
