Hitmarker is a job platform in the $159bn video game industry. It has a fast-growing database of 67,000 candidates and has posted 46,000 jobs from 4,500 companies in 77 countries. The multi-award-winning tech startup returns to Crowdcube on a mission to build a global network of localised platforms.
Originally launched as a hub for esports hiring, Hitmarker is a proprietary job platform that now covers the entire video game industry. Companies sign up to our platform to post jobs and candidates sign up to apply to them.
We have 67,000 registered users, including 4,500 hiring companies, and one million people have used Hitmarker 2.5 million times to post or look for jobs, 46,000 of which have been posted to date. Notable users include Amazon, the BBC, and Red Bull.
We’re a multi-award-winning brand that has been covered by Forbes, CNBC, and The FT. We also have 20 partners, including The University of California, RGF Executive Search, and the British Esports Association.
We generate revenue via marketing partnerships, promoted listing sales, display advertising, data sales, and recruitment agency partnerships. Revenue has grown quarter-on-quarter in 2020 and is up 67% year-on-year to £74k (-£139k EBITDA to October 2020).
Having previously focused only on esports, a fast-growing $1bn segment of the video game industry, we now cover the entire $159bn industry. As a result, the number of live jobs on our platform has increased by 1,000%.
We reached 207% of our funding target in just seven days last year to facilitate this transition. We now return to Crowdcube on a mission to build a global network of localised platforms in key territories and expand our addressable market.
