Hey Girl is an independent, empowering positive media brand with a mission to promote equality + celebrate talent & difference. It aims to inspire all through its creative energy, positivity & freedom.

The presence of toxic media is increasingly distorting reality, creating a world of unrealistic expectations with a social pressure to conform. We’re lost in a sea of manipulated images, masking the power of reality. We’re all beautifully unique and should have the freedom to celebrate what makes us different. The change has already begun.

Hey Girl's ethos is to inspire, nurture and encourage women from all backgrounds to create and feel empowered. Our mission is to break the conformity of social pressures to look a certain way, advocating the beauty of real sizes, shapes and disabilities. Encouraging creativity and inclusivity for people to share and showcase their talent across the web and print platforms; Hey Girl magazine, Hey Girl TV or Hey Girl music platform. Be it through storytelling, musicianship, filmmaking or active pursuits. Photos are no longer retouched to free the viewer and subject from self-judgement.

We plan to monetise through B2C and B2B models. Our B2C focuses on merchandise, magazine sales and subscriptions, whilst B2B provides the opportunity for advertising on the platforms, marketing collaboration and bespoke content creation.

Funding will help grow the team, fuel our marketing and develop an app to increase outreach and drive user acquisition as well as continuing the circulation of high-quality print, youtube videos, interviews, and short films.
