Harvey Trollope, one of the country’s emerging culinary talents, wholly focused on sustainable British produce is launching an exciting new restaurant in 2018. Having operated sell-out pop-ups over the last two years, Harvey’s British Eatery is looking to establish its first permanent site.
We want to open the best British Eatery in central London, beautiful British food at honest prices. Working with the best in-season produce the British Isles has to offer, to break the mould of British food on the high street.
A buzzing atmosphere, unique food, and friendly service, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
A small number of well-chosen dishes that push beyond the classic fish & chips or pies (which we love too!). We want to unearth the recipes of our British heritage.
For breakfast, think artisan regional British breads and pastries, alongside a range of breakfast specialties. For lunch and in the evening, grilled and roast meats, game, native seafood, vegetables, and tasty puddings. And of course regional British cheeses!
We will also adapt forgotten regional recipes to today’s dietary needs, including vegan and gluten free. We want to properly showcase our fantastic British vegetables and fruit.
A diverse bar menu with British brews of beers, ciders, fine liqueurs and classic favourites, as well as carefully selected wine list of English, continental and new world wines.
The demand for Harvey’s British Eatery was determined through a series of 40-cover pop-ups at Clerkenwell Kitchen and The Jerwood Studios. This enabled us to test the appetite for exciting, affordable new British recipes and identify a gap in the market. We aim to open 2 further sites within 5 years.
