Indian flavours meet British fast food favourites - Frankie Goes to Bollywood has created an online presence during its first year and plans to open a large flagship site to cope with demand, expand the menu, and make their food attainable to a larger audience.
Frankie Goes to Bollywood is a fast-casual dining concept, which opened its doors in January 2017.
We set out to change the perception of Indian food and make the cuisine more accessible to the general consumer. Traditionally, Indian flavours are experienced in a more formal setting, such as restaurants or impersonally via a home delivery service, or in more recent times outdoors as street food. We’ve developed a concept where you can experience these signature flavours of India in a casual environment in the format of British fast food favourites. We bring to you: Indian fast food.
2015 saw the birth of the idea. Monty worked closely with development chef Marnie Llewelyn (Pret-a-Manger) to develop a menu that was creative and explored the Indian fast food notion. Since then, they haven't looked back, and Frankie Goes to Bollywood has enjoyed the following successes:
- Featured in Code Magazine
- Won 3rd best dish at Jamie Oliver’s Big Feastival 2017
- Showcased as one of UberEats’ favourite dishes in London
- A growing social media presence - 1685 Twitter, 1079 Instagram, 520 Facebook
