The average person listens to the radio for 36 mins a day. As per our own research, a builder, in comparison, listens for an average of 7 hrs . We believe they need a completely different user experience!
We've built Fix from the ground up with a tradesperson in mind. Our goal is to have less music repetition, authentic content, construction news, a programme schedule designed around their days, and lower ad volumes. We've built a talent roster of big names in construction like the Bald Builders, who boast well over a million social media followers and Chris Frediani, a DIY SOS star.
Given the targeted nature of Fix, we're able to offer advertisers a direct route to their target market. We charge a premium for this. Fix can command up to 10x what other stations can for the same advertising inventory.
With the total UK market size of tradespeople being 2.2m and an estimated £55m in annual media spend targeting these people, we believe Fix Radio to be commercially exciting. We've already exhibited this by delivering 650% growth in revenue since origin (EBITDA for 2021 was -£187k, 2022 YTD £77.6k).
Having recently secured a national licence (the same licence held by Jazz FM, Magic and Virgin), we’re now raising to scale up.
