Finisterre is a pioneering outdoor clothing brand, born from a love of the sea. With two decades of innovation in sustainability, they are a profitable B Corp that has nearly tripled revenue since their 2019 Crowdraise. Fundraising again to drive a more exciting growth plan and impact agenda.
Finisterre was founded by Tom Kay - a surfer, volunteer lifeboat helm, and ocean swimmer. Inspired by the natural world, Tom founded Finisterre to build a brand that connects people to the sea.
Product quality, innovation and sustainable fabrics can be found right through our range, from recycled polyester synthetic down jackets to recycled nylon boardshorts and bio rubber wetsuits.
In 2019, we ran a hugely successful Crowdraise, hitting our target in 30 minutes and welcoming nearly 2k investors to our community. Since then, we’ve attracted over 200k customers, nearly tripled our revenue, and become profitable. Most excitingly, we’ve strengthened our impact agenda, improved our B Corp score, launched the Finisterre Foundation and an Ocean Activism programme.
Underpinning this growth lies strong customer repeat (57% of revenue in 2021) and consistently high reviews across the range (4.8/5*). Our content-led marketing strategy supports profitable customer acquisition and high lifetime value (LTV:CAC >5x).
