Country Matters manufacture and supply tableware gifts and soft furnishings to over 1200 retailers and mail order clients. With over £1m in turnover in the last financial year, Country Matters is raising investment to expand across Europe.

Turnover has increased 35% in our last financial year 2016-17 to +£1m, with net profit increasing from -£24.7k to £1.4k. Our products retail across 1200 garden centres, stores, mail order services and gift shops around the UK. We also sell online via our own website.
We have exclusive rights to the famous Villager Jim brand and rights to the world-renowned wildlife artist Karen Laurence Rowe. With her work, we also work with the Helping Rhinos Charity. This activity has given us access to zoos and safari parks throughout the UK.
Founded in 2011, we have spent 18 months building up suppliers and contacts in China to launch and expand our products. We believe all of the key foundations of a successful business are now in place and we’re ready to increase momentum. We aim to achieve a substantial increase in sales in the short term. Loans exist in the company.
We will invest in new products and expansion into Europe with an aim to rapidly grow turnover, and estimate that within a 4-5 year period we will have achieved the growth required for a lucrative exit. Creative Tops sold to Lifetime Brands for $23m in 2011 and Kitchencraft for multiple millions.
