ChewyMoon is powering a future generation of superheroes through its 100% (super) natural snacks for kids. Having sold 220,000 snacks since launch, ChewyMoon is raising new capital to expand its growth online and also launch into retail stores.
Founded by parents, created by nutritionists and approved by kids*, Chewymoon is championing kids’ health. ChewyMoon takes all the stress out for parents of finding healthy snacks with the UK’s first nutritionally-balanced and personalised kids’ snack box.
ChewyMoon’s personalised offering starts at £2.99, comprising 100%-natural snacks that are all below 100 kcal. With a range of 1 of 5 a day options ChewyMoon helps parents sneak in fruit and veg into their kids’ diets, giving them an easy solution to their kids’ lunchbox problem. And with over 852 million lunch boxes consumed in the UK annually, that's a big problem! The box also comes with a fun pack of quirky characters in the form of stickers and battle cards designed to capture kids’ imaginations.
The company launched a prototype offering in Jan 2017, completing over 5,000 orders (31,000 snacks) by the end of 2017, all the while gathering customer feedback. They used the data to develop a new product and relaunched at the end of 2017. Since then sales have grown rapidly. ChewyMoon fulfilled over 25,000 orders (190,000 snacks) in the six months to 30 Jun 2018. Number of snack orders increased over 400% (6,135 to 31,245 snacks, Dec 17 to Jun 18).
Following a successful crowdfunding campaign last year, ChewyMoon is returning to raise capital for growing the online business and also begin expansion into retail stores.
