Having sold over 235,000 packs of their award-winning Latin American food sauces from 738 stores across the UK, Capsicana aim to bring authentic flavours to this £379m market segment. The company is raising to invest in UK marketing activation and launch 10 new products in 2018.
Capsicana is the adventurous UK based Latin American food brand selling delicious sauces into 738 stores nationwide.
Having travelled in the Americas, our founder Ben wanted authentic Latin American meals back in the UK. So, with a market stall, £500, hard work and total focus, he developed quick cook Latin American sauces with the aim to enable busy people to easily cook tasty, healthy meals at home.
The UK market (worth £379m) is dominated by Old El Paso and Santa Maria. We see very little quality innovation, leaving it ripe for disruption. Independent online research shows 60% of shoppers want more authentic LATAM foods and 64% want regional specialties. We use ingredients from the region in our authentic recipes and aim to offer truly differentiated products.

We have 10 new products in development, that we aim to launch in 2018. Once the UK market is consolidated, we have plans to launch into European markets.
