BRU is on a mission to provide the best tea-making and drinking experience by selling high-quality tea preparation appliances which don't require any capsules or pods. By pre-selling their patented machines through reward campaigns on Kickstarter and Indiegogo, they have reached €1.1M+ from more than 9,400 customers in 12 months.
After water, tea is the most consumed beverage globally - and we believe in tea. With our products, we add value to our customers by offering automated, smart and user-friendly solutions for making fresh tea by using any type of tea: loose-leaf or tea bag - our machines work with both. We combine the traditional tea steeping process with a new and patented technology.
With several new versions of the machine already in the pipeline, we are ready to launch our brand with aspirations of becoming a powerhouse in the tea industry.
In addition to our tea machines, we are setting up our own tea line to offer a tea-eco-system, to our strong community. All our products (tea and tea machines) can be bought directly or thru a subscription-based model. Our community is an additional sales driver, and our connected tea makers will help create a social platform for tea drinkers. This enables customers to track tea consumption & provide them with tailored recommendations.
The value of the tea market has doubled in the last 9 years. The value of the tea preparation devices, such as Kettles, is over $16B and estimated to reach $21B by 2025.
In October 2019 we launched the first version of BRU through reward-based crowdfunding and reached €1.1M in preorders from more than 9.4k customers in just 12 months. This round will help us launch our sales in Q3 '21 and fuel company growth.
