Striving to be the Airbnb for boat chartering, Borrow A Boat is an online platform designed to allow anyone to hire a boat, and for any boat owner to easily rent out their idle vessel. With 13,000 boats in more than 50 countries now listed, the team are now raising to expand marketing activities.
Introducing “Borrow A Boat” – the new boat charter marketplace which lets boat owners list their boats “Airbnb-style” for private charter.
With over 13,000 boats, and everything from a RIB to huge luxury yachts on offer globally, the team are setting out to bring more choice, variety and better value to the boat charter market than ever before, and to help boat owners offset the costs of boat ownership at the same time.
According to Bank of America, the sharing economy is one of the biggest technological trends globally, with the likes of Airbnb and Uber leading the way. We know that boat-owners typically leave their boats idle for a lot of the year due to practical time limitations on using the boat, means marinas across the world are full of expensive under-utilised assets.
Borrow A Boat was formed in late 2016, since then we've grown fast amassing over 13,000 boats around the world with a growing following and contact list, plus with modest marketing we've been selling charters since January with over 100 charter days booked and overwhelming demand.
Borrow A Boat have had positive coverage in a number of publications including The Daily Mail, The Sun, Lonely Planet.
We are seeking funds to build on our momentum to date through increased marketing and further development of our web platform.
